LIGHT + HOUSE

The Light+Houses project is born out of the necessity to guide the visitor around the city of Porto, Portugal,  through a network of information 'lighthouses' open 24 hours a day. We explored the concept of 'light' in both of its meanings: visually, it references the luminous nature of the building,  and physically, it refers to the weightlessness of the materials and the constructive system.
